Reed Appraisers, Inc. is an auto damage appraisal company servicing the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area as well as a large portion of northern Virginia. We provide prompt, dependable service at very competitive rates. All staff appraisers are professional in appearance and demeanor and have (or are working toward) I-CAR and/or ASE certification. We carry all necessary insurance including non owned auto, errors and omissions, and have very substantial liability limits. Service: Our service is personal and when calling our office during regular business hours you will Never Ever be subjected to a voice mail menu or answering device. We provide prompt and professional service at very competitive rates for damage appraisals on automobiles, light and medium-duty trucks, as well as off-road and specialized equipment. Contact with the vehicle owner will be initiated within 12 hours of assignment, and most inspections are completed within 48 hours from time of assignment. If delays are encountered and the file cannot be completed within 72 hours, a written status report will be faxed or e-mailed to your office. Estimates: All estimates are independently written and our appraisers are never influenced by shop estimates or owner's requests. Estimates are computer- generated and accompanied by a type written report and digital or 35mm photos. Total Loss: We will notify the file handler immediately after it has been determined that a vehicle is a Total Loss, especially when storage charges are accumulating. We can complete CCC or ADP forms upon request or provide you with our own independent and comprehensive Total Loss evaluation. We will also secure salvage bids if a salvage contract is not in place. Supplements: We do not charge an additional fee for supplements, except in extenuating circumstances, and never without prior approval of the client. Supplements requiring additional labor will be re-inspected and all supplemental requests will be documented with photos, invoices, or both. Storage: When a vehicle is accumulating storage the appraiser will immediately contact the file handler (if Total Loss) or the vehicle owner (if repairable) in an effort to minimize unnecessary charges. We do not move vehicles without written permission.
